It is rare to come across this.  Do you have expanded memory on your QL and/or a
disk drive? 
 
If you are loading it from microdrive cartridge, then ensure that anything else
which uses the QL memory is disabled (such as Toolkit II and other toolkits). 
Disk interfaces also use some of the QL memory.
 
If you only have a bare QL and have nothing but QL Archive running - ensure you
are running v2.38 of Archive (the last version) as that may help.  Ask someone
else to put the database on disk for you.
 
If you have it on disk, then use an emulator on a PC to set up a QL session with
more memory, and then you will need to find some way of splitting the database
into smaller segments, or reducing some of the data for example.
