Thanks Phoebus. A quick test after doing this and restarting the PC
shows that my QPC can now read floppy dissk after navigating the file
selectors in Word and Excel. I'll keep an eye on the problem to see if
it reappears, but aftera  few minutes trial, this does seem to have
sorted it.

Incidentally, following the recent correspondence regarding quoting of
emailed text, my Lookout Excess normally puts the > quote in front of
text when replying.

I had to manually quote the above text, so I don't know what format
you were using Phoebus?

It does seem as though OE's ability to quote text depends on the
format of the original text - I have the 'use plain text' option on
and the 'reply in same format' turned off which normally works OK with
quoting, but not this time!
