A quick test after doing this and restarting the PC shows that my QPC can now read floppy dissk after navigating the file selectors in Word and Excel. I'll keep an eye on the problem to see if it reappears, but aftera few minutes trial, this does seem to have sorted it.
Incidentally, following the recent correspondence regarding quoting of emailed text, my Lookout Excess normally puts the > quote in front of text when replying. I had to manually quote the above text, so I don't know what format you were using Phoebus? It does seem as though OE's ability to quote text depends on the format of the original text - I have the 'use plain text' option on and the 'reply in same format' turned off which normally works OK with quoting, but not this time! -- Dilwyn Jones
