The updates don't work that way.
They require the machine connected, and they work out what updates are
needed.  This then happens automagically without an explicit file being
downloaded.

You have no option, I think, but to connect your machine to broadband.
If you are passing Tring I would be happy to provide a link.
I did just that the other day for someone.
Even with broadband it is likely to take a few hours.  Not only is the
connection to M$ pretty slow (The latest worm scare?)  but the files
take forever to install once downloaded.
