Thanks Tarquin. Now I've seen the 'sonow' name I remember when you sent it to me some time ago. I'll keep a printout this time!
Have set up the computer with MSNFreeweb for now, it will do for a while. The setup was SO easy I couldn't believe it - ran the downloaded setup.exe file and 20 second slater it was configured and on the BT Internet home page, it was so fast and trouble free I couldn't believe it (says he, ever the pessimist when it comes to PCs!) Unfortunately, I tried the same thing with another "free" ISP and instead of saving the downloaded file I accidentally ran the setup file and bang went my Tesco.net connection for a couple of days until I sorted it out and restored the settings tonight (that'll teach me!) (of course what I was trying to do was download the setup files onto a floppy disk on my PC then move the disk to setup the other PC, silly me!) -- Dilwyn Jones ----- Original Message ----- From: Tarquin Mills <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2003 11:22 PM Subject: Re: [ql-users] isp > > > Dilwyn Jones wrote: > [snip] > > Anyone know of a subscription-free ISP using a local rate UK dialup I > > can just sign up to from my computer then just simply set up the other > > PC to connect to.
