Thank you Oliver for your suggestion:

Hi,

I haven't tested this feature for a long time. AFAIK the command is:

qlandkartegt -m <filename.gpx>

This will display the data in filename.gpx and every time you hit the key
in the console where you started QLGT the file will be read again.

HTH

Oliver

but is does not work now. What happens is:

[ben@localhost ~]$ qlandkartegt -m gpstrail.gpx
usage: qlandkartegt [-d | --debug]
                    [-h | --help]
                    [-m FD | --monitor=FD]
                    [-n | --no-splash]
                    [-c | --config=file]
                    [files...]

The monitor function will read data from files if there is input on stream
FD.
For stdin use FD=0.

I have tried -- monitor 0 and qlandkartegt does behave as Oliver describes.
