Hi!
I have a qmail+ldap setup that works wery well and is serviceing a large amount of
users, but sometimes my users are experiencing that mail sent to them is bounced with
a "Sorry no mailbox here by that
name" error. It often happens with mail sent to more users on the same mailserver. If
you f.x send a mail to ten local users it may fail on some of the users seemingly at
random. All the accounts are
active and does work most of the time. My first thought was that the LDAP server
couldn't keep up with the requests, but having monitored it for a while it doesn't
seem to be the case. The LDAP server is
hardly sweating at all. So... I am kind of stuck here. Anyone have any good ideas?
A small supplemental question : What error will you get if qmail for some reason gets
no response from the LDAP server?
My setup consists of two boxes, one running Redhat 6.2 and qmail (ldap patch 20010501)
and the other running FreeBSD 4.3 with OpenLDAP 2.0.11.
