It is my understanding that Solaris fork() is many times slower than Linux
and BSD fork().  qmail in particular make extensive use of the fork() call,
so it's slower on Solaris than on those systems.

As far as its use as an NFS server, Solaris is OK.  I don't know how the
speed compares to BSD, but NetApp is definitely superior.
