Hello folks,

I've got massive problems in sending Emails via qmail to microsoft.com.
I'm using qmail-1.0.3 wit qmail-ldap-patch-20011001something (used
qmail-ldap-patch-20010301 before).
I'm always getting:

Oct 18 00:28:43 kleinerwu qmail: 1003357723.045219 starting delivery 2: msg
24271 to remote [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Oct 18 00:28:43 kleinerwu qmail: 1003357723.045560 status: local 0/10 remote
1/2

Oct 18 00:28:43 kleinerwu qmail: 1003357723.048199 delivery 2: deferral:
CNAME_lookup_failed_temporarily._(#4.4.3)/

I tried this on different platforms (Solaris 2.8 SPARC, FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE).
My first thought was this oversized DNS thing (but the patch should be
included in qmail-ldap. Btw the qmail-patch for oversized dns-packages
provided by qmail.org links into a black hole :(
Sometimes mail is sent, but only 1 of 20 times. Most mail gets lost (too
long in queue), and the message bounces to sender (after 1 week). A
subjective user impression was, that mails containing attachments are
getting lost more often (but I'm sure this is a myth :)
Is anyone experiencing similar problems, or has any idea?

Btw: Mail sent to aol.com is received without any problems.
Btw: Sending mail to microsoft.com using different mail-servers (e.g.
stalker) is working without any problems, so I think it has to be
qmail(-ldap) related.

Thanks for all your help,
michael
