I don't personally have this problem with microsoft, not that I send them much mail in general... But, I don't have it.
What DNS servers are you using? Are you using a BIND name server or are you using a djbdns sort of server? The base result from BIND 9 is 477 bytes in size, which isn't over the "big dns problem," but I sincerely have my doubts that this problem has anything to do with qmail-ldap (since nothing is changed in the way remote addresses are looked up, AFAIK) On Wed, 17 Oct 2001, Michael Gmelin wrote: =>Hello folks, => =>I've got massive problems in sending Emails via qmail to microsoft.com. =>I'm using qmail-1.0.3 wit qmail-ldap-patch-20011001something (used =>qmail-ldap-patch-20010301 before). =>I'm always getting: => =>Oct 18 00:28:43 kleinerwu qmail: 1003357723.045219 starting delivery 2: msg =>24271 to remote [EMAIL PROTECTED] =>Oct 18 00:28:43 kleinerwu qmail: 1003357723.045560 status: local 0/10 remote =>1/2 =>0 =>Oct 18 00:28:43 kleinerwu qmail: 1003357723.048199 delivery 2: deferral: =>CNAME_lookup_failed_temporarily._(#4.4.3)/ => =>I tried this on different platforms (Solaris 2.8 SPARC, FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE). =>My first thought was this oversized DNS thing (but the patch should be =>included in qmail-ldap.
