Thanks for the initial jumpstart! I did what you say, and apparently it is a
password problem:

imapd: ldap_get_extrainfo: userPassword: {MD5}9bb9a384a46af68f6b1d741088c3bd08

imapd: check_ldap: password compare was not successful
imapd: authentication with ldap was not successful
imapd: warning: auth_fail: user raoul failed
imapd: warning: auth_error: authorization failed (authorization failed wrong
password)

However, I doublechecked the password and the MD5 checksum is definitely
correct.
Does auth_imap not do encrypted passwords? Is there maybe a config flag that I
overlooked?
