Okay, this puzzles me. Even with a cleartext password, it fails with
(authorization failed wrong password)
However, if I lowercase e.g. {MD5} to {md5} then it brings the correct error
message (illegal authentication mode).
I really don't understand what's going on here. Any help is appreciated.
