Hia,

I'm just setting up a new mailserver and got a problem with sending
double-bounces to a remote mailserver.

I've set up a ~alias/.qmail-postmaster that sends emails to
&[EMAIL PROTECTED] and forced a double-bounce by injecting mails
manually (testing phase) using:

/var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject -f nonexistand
To: unknown
Subject: Testing

testing...
<ctrl-d>

Then the double-bounce gets noticed and qmail tries to send to the
remote-address, but gets rejected:

@400000003c9cd8561d0a74b4 delivery 18: failure:
Connected_to_[*]_but_sender_was_rejected./Remote_host_said:_553_malformed_address:_<#@[]>/

If I forward postmasters mails to a user on the qmail-system it works,
but it has the following
        Return-Path: <#@[]>

The original bounce has a
        Return-Path: <>

Is that usual behaviour or is something broken in my setup?
