According to <http://cr.yp.to/proto/mailloops.txt>, DJB acknowledges that <#@[]> is an illegal envelope sender address. So Exchange is not incorrect in rejecting the double-bounce mail -- it's just rather inconvenient in your case. It would be nice to know the actual rationale behind this arrangement, but my personal guess is that a double-bounce envelope sender was needed that [a] can be distinguished from a bounce, but [b] cannot inadvertantly cause a mail loop. -- Adrian Ho Tinker, Drifter, Fixer, Bum [EMAIL PROTECTED] ListArchive: <http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=qmail-ldap> Useful URLs: <http://www.lifewithqmail.org/ldap/> <http://www.nrg4u.com/>
