That 's what I did, I applied the Qmail-LDAP cleanly but the problem is 
with Qmail-LDAP/Controls patch.
and here is what I do
while in the qmail source directory,  I do 'patch 
-p1<qmail-ldap-conrtrol-XXX.patch`
and patch complains about that the file named "FILES" is not found and 
shows the lines causing the problem and then asks for the file to patch 
and this goes on for all the patch.
