Hello,

I have gotten pbsdbd, pbscheck and pbsadd to work just fine using a single
host in pbsservers, however, when I use multiple hosts in pbsservers, the
behavior seems a bit erratic. I have this in /var/qmail/control/pbsservers
[andreas@corundum andreas]$ cat /var/qmail/control/pbsservers
172.16.0.50
172.16.0.51

I ran "tcpdump port 2821" on both hosts 172.16.0.50 and 172.16.0.51. When
I check for mail using POP, I see packets show up consistently on
172.16.0.50, but never on 172.16.0.51. When I then try to send mail via
smtp, pbscheck will sometimes 172.16.0.50, (which allows me to relay)
and sometimes it will check 172.16.0.51 (which will not let me relay mail,
since it never got the pbsadd packet)

I must either be doing something wrong, or I am misunderstanding the
behavior of using multiple hosts in pbsservers (admittedly, I can't read
.c man pages very well) Using multiple hosts is very important for fault
tolerance in our mail system, and it seems that both the pbsadd and
pbscheck packets should go to both hosts every time. If anyone has any
idea what might be going wrong, I would be most interested to know.
