I have now setup qmail with auth_pop Same problem with delivering mail Extra problem with loging on (I have set tcp for pop3 to :allow): lnx3:/var/qmail/service/pop3d # telnet localhost 110 Trying ::1... Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. Connection closed by foreign host. At leased in the old situation I could logon and got afterwards the error that that user had no mailbox Regards, didier -----Original Message----- From: Edward Shabotinsky [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: vrijdag 22 november 2002 16:41 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Pop3 login fails with: user has no $home/Maildir there is one mistake ( one i see at least :-) you can't use /bin/checkpassword with qmail-ldap-qmail-pop3d use auth_pop instead. about this scrip is ither you have no varibles set or they set somethere alse. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Edward Shabotinsky [EMAIL PROTECTED] System Engineer BriteSite.Net www.britesite.net 773-772-7300 ------------------------------------------------------------------ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Didier Geheniau" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, November 22, 2002 9:21 AM Subject: RE: Pop3 login fails with: user has no $home/Maildir > > ... qmail-popup ${HOST} auth_pop qmail-pop3d ./Maildir/ > > My deamon run script for pop3 looks like this: > > #!/bin/sh > exec 2>&1 \ > envdir ./env \ > sh -c ' > case "$REMOTENAME" in h) H=;; p) H=p;; *) H=H;; esac > case "$REMOTEINFO" in r) R=;; [0-9]*) R="t$REMOTEINFO";; *) R=R;; > esac > exec \ > softlimit ${DATALIMIT+"-d$DATALIMIT"} \ > /usr/local/bin/tcpserver \ > -vD"$H$R" \ > ${LOCALNAME+"-l$LOCALNAME"} \ > ${BACKLOG+"-b$BACKLOG"} \ > ${CONCURRENCY+"-c$CONCURRENCY"} \ > -xtcp.cdb \ > -- "${IP-0}" "${PORT-110}" \ > /var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup "${POPUPHOST-`sed 1q > /var/qmail/control/me`}" \ > /bin/checkpassword \ > /var/qmail/bin/qmail-pop3d "${MAILDIRNAME-Maildir}" > ' > > Can I replace '"${MAILDIRNAME-Maildir}"' with '"./Maildir/"' ? > > Because when I do that and reload qmail I still have the same problem > > > Regards > > Didier > -----Original Message----- > From: Claudio Jeker [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: vrijdag 22 november 2002 16:06 > To: > Subject: Re: Pop3 login fails with: user has no $home/Maildir > > > On Fri, Nov 22, 2002 at 03:57:36PM +0100, Didier Geheniau wrote: > > Hi all, > > > > I patched qmail with qmail-ldap, qmail-control, smtp_auth and > > configured it with dirmaker. > > > > When a user has no Maildir the directory isn't created and the mail > > stays in the queue.
