upgrading to the latest patch

Hi,

I have qmail patched with LDAP patch qmail-ldap-1.03-20020501a, now I need to upgrade to the latest patch since it contains a lto bug fixes that I require (specially the one with wrong return on LDAP timeout I pointed earlier).
What is the easiest way to do so on a running system other than getting stock qmail and patching and reconfiguring the conf files and the make files.
