I would recommend using the kavclient. You can compile one in the source
code under clients and examples. I don't use it any longer so I don't have
the code to help you out any further. But it will greatly increase the scan
speed and it seemed to work under Qmail-Scanner.

But this doesn't answer your question. The error you are getting is because
QS is looking for a return code and not getting it back from the kavdaemon.
So they must of changed the formating if you are using a newer version.
