Thanks for the suggestion, but it fails when i try to compile it, the samples seem to work, but qmail-scanner configure doesnt want to detect them even if i copy them to /usr/binI would recommend using the kavclient. You can compile one in the source code under clients and examples. I don't use it any longer so I don't have the code to help you out any further. But it will greatly increase the scan speed and it seemed to work under Qmail-Scanner.
But this doesn't answer your question. The error you are getting is because QS is looking for a return code and not getting it back from the kavdaemon. So they must of changed the formating if you are using a newer version.
Im using a version thats about a year old, and im using qmail-scanner 1.16 (sa patch, but same problem without sa patch)
