Hmm well I'm finding the logs a little confusing
now I'm using multilog in lieu of splogger

/var/log/qmail/smtpd/current shows the line
@400000003b5e93e01b9ee27c tcpserver: pid 7853 from 192.168.0.1
which is most likely an email that I'm trying to send
now which is hanging

A few lines from a workstation trying to send
@400000003b5e926b1c1da79c tcpserver: status: 1/20
@400000003b5e92e12c07eb54 tcpserver: status: 2/20
@400000003b5e92e12c0ad954 tcpserver: pid 7817 from 192.168.0.5
@400000003b5e93351d4e6354 tcpserver: status: 3/20
