I don't think there's anything wrong with being specific. If you would have
said that the first time, I don't think he would have had to be sarcastic.

Lighten up.
i disagree. the people on these lists who routinely help other people who have genuine problems don't need to put up with 'noobs with toods'.

a 23 year old walks up to you and demands"change my diaper!". You tell the child, "sorry, i'm not your mommy. go ask your mommy to change your diaper - or better yet - you look like you're about 23 years old, why not learn how to do it yourself?". The toddler then flips you 'the bird' and says 'answer my question, jerk'.

Steve gave the correct answer the first time through. The noob shat on his answer. So Steve took the little noob by the hand, and explained to the noob _why_ his first answer was correct, then correctly advised the noob that his sarcasm was inappropriate. Of course, noobs with toods don't admit to being assholes, so, no public apology from the noob. Which is par for the course.

sure, steve could "lighten up". that ultimately does the world no good: Nobody should *ever* have to take shit from someone they've helped. It only fosters contempt - times two.
