note: /home/vpopmail/ is a sym link to /home/goofy/vpopmail/

# find / -type f -name "libvpopmail*"
/usr/local/src/vpopmail-5.4.6/libvpopmail.a
/home/goofy/vpopmail/lib/libvpopmail.a

..nope..

# strings /home/vpopmail/lib/libvpopmail.a | grep vpopmail
vpopmail.o/ 1093639089 0 1 100644 86788 `
/home/vpopmail
Unable to chdir to vpopmail/domains/domain directory
Unable to chdir to vpopmail/domains directory
Unable to chdir to vpopmail/users directory
Unable to chdir to vpopmail directory
vpopmail.c
/usr/local/src/vpopmail-5.4.6/
[...]

...clearly shows libvpopmail.a is v5.4.6

my configure options for qmailadmin 1.2.4:
./configure \
--enable-htmldir=/home/goofy/hostedsites/qmailadmin-dev.example.net/www \
--enable-cgibindir=/home/goofy/hostedsites/qmailadmin-dev.example.net/www/cg
i-bin \
--enable-imagedir=/home/goofy/hostedsites/qmailadmin-dev.example.net/www/ima
ges \
--enable-imageurl=/images \
--with-htmllibdir=/home/goofy/hostedsites/qmailadmin-dev.example.net/data/te
mplates/default \
--enable-vpopmaildir=/home/vpopmail \
--enable-qmaildir=/var/qmail \
--enable-autoresponder-bin=/usr/local/bin \
--enable-modify-quota=n \
--disable-ezmlm \
--disable-ezmlmdir \
--disable-ezmlm-mysql \
--disable-mysql

I doubt that it matters, but i have my original qmailadmin at
/home/goofy/hostedsites/qmailadmin.example.net/ (thankfully) :)
