[qmailadmin] qmailadmin error

I built the domain idata-technics.com via vpopmail by way of the command lines.  When I try to login to qmailadmin I get the following error.    Error. Domain idata-technics.com was not found in the assign file.   The email account is working.  I used the server name (idt1-idata-technics.com) to access the qmailadmin login page.  Since the web site is hosted on another box.    I am also having a problem with vqadmin.  I can log on however when I try to build a test domain I get the error "Unable to chdir to vpopmail/domains/domain directory."  I did previously build this test domain via vpopmail command line entry.  Is having the web site hosted on another box the problem or did I set up some wrong paths?   I am a newbie and I thank you in advance for any help!!!
