I figured you had, and was curious as to why you would use the old script. One of the concerns with the old script was the amount of downtime required when using it. qtp-newmodel won't affect your running server until everything has been successfully installed in the sandbox. In addition, it allows all binary packages to be built while your toaster is still in service. This ensures that your server stays in service in the event of most problems, and minimizes down time. It is certainly safer to use than the update.sh script.
