One quirk I have seen in Outlook is if he tries to shut down Outlook, the 
window will close but there might be a few Outlooks still running in the task 
manager.  

This seems to be related to  Outlook not playing nice with PDAs and hangs up 
requiring the user to restart Outlook, he will get another window but the 
original instance(s) are still running.  Kill all of the OUTLOOKs in the task 
manager and then open it up again.  You should be good until the next time.
