Hello List,
in the last few days we have been working hard to set up
qooxdoo-contrib. qooxdoo-contrib will be a central place to host qooxdoo
related projects like
* New backends
* Example applications
* New widgets
* New qooxdoo classes
* ...
Its main purpose is to give anyone a place to share qooxdoo related code
with the community and to act as an incubator for code which should
finally be integrated into the main qooxdoo code base. This includes new
code developed by the qooxdoo team as well.
The initial projects are:
* UploadWidget by Dietrich Streifert
* HtmlArea by Alexander Back. The initial version of the upcoming
qooxdoo HTML editing widget.
* ProgressBar by Thomas Herchenröder. The progress bar from the
qooxdoo test runner. Mainly for demonstration purposes
* SkeletonWidget/SkeletonApplication: Example contributions to show
how to create a contribution containing a widget and how to embed
the external widget into an application.
Right now we have set up the basic infrastructure for contributions and
extended the build system of the qooxdoo trunk to easily include
contributions into skeleton based applications. Initial documentation is

We are very interested in your comments and suggestions to match the
requirements of both contributers and users of qooxdoo-contrib as close
as possible.
