Sure, I see the issue. But I don't see how this should be resolved
automatically. You must put the logic of gender agreement into your code
by hand.
I suppose you want to have a message that says (in English) "foo relates
to your telephone number, bar relates to postal address, ...". In order
to have gender agreement between 'relates to' and the object, you have
to split up the cases, e.g.
var male = 1;
var female = 2;
var foo_msg = "foo " + this.trn('relates_to', 'relates_to', male) +
this.tr('telephone number');
var bar_msg = "bar " + this.trn('relates_to, 'relates_to', female) +
this.tr("postal address");
var baz_msg = "baz " + this.trn('relates_to', 'relates_to', female) +
this.tr("email address");
