Perhaps from the official documentation (Qpopper Administator's Guide),
which lists "-enable-home-dir-misc" as a compile-time option and
"home-dir-misc" as a configuration file option. See pages 14 & 33. The
description says "Causes the .user.pop and the .user.cache files to be
placed in the user's home directory".

You may be right that the option doesn't really exist, but it isn't
unreasonable for a new Qpopper admin to expect it to work if he/she
is trying to configure Qpopper based on the official documentation. Those
of us who have been using Qpopper for a while know better than to rely
only on the Guide, but a new Qpopper admin isn't going to know that.
