I'm thinking of moving trunk back to a branch, and swapping in 0.3x (or wherever we're developing off) back into trunk.
At this point, that might be best, since I don't like us developing anything significant out on a branch; I've seen too many WB cartoons to be comfortable on a branch. ;-)
I'm also seriously wondering if Apache::Qpsmtpd might not give me pretty damn good performance too. Hard to say.
Can you think of a way to compare performance between forkserver and Apache::Qpsmtpd? I have two underpowered boxes that I could conceivably configure so that one uses forkserver and the other uses Apache (though I'll have to build Apache2 on that box, since it isn't available from the vendor). What would I be measuring? RAM? Load? Messages/second?
