Hey Jeff and the gang; MF, HF, VHF, and UHF.....it was a commercial installation of some merit. The famous RF Consulting Engineering firm of Hammett and Edison first started with this installation, although they did NOT design it. That accolade goes to an SK friend of mine, who co-incidentally was my boss' boss many years ago. (<- That's how we met and he was surprised that I was involved at this site he designed while I was working for him in another capacity. I learned a lot over coffee breaks with him at my "day" job. He was also one of the pilots that dropped the big bomb on Nagasaki and the fellow that started Capitol Records engineering efforts after WW2.) Hammett and Edison got quite a reputation based on their work at this site and they eventually went on to much bigger and better things. There was almost 4 million dollars spent on getting this site running in 1960 money, so it was some kind of RF installation !! I could go on and on, but I got a lot of my education on this site almost 30 years ago. I learned a whole lot when I was re-building the site for commercial uses. I headed-up engineering at this site for almost 12 years, right up until I left Southern California in October of 1990. Anyways, thanks for the response es vy 72; Bob w9ya ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Submissions: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - unsubscribe qrplist in body Hopelessly Lost: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - help in body of message Zerobeat Web Page: http://www.zerobeat.net - sponsored by www.tlchost.net ----------------------------------------------------------------------
