The archives at kkn.net appear to have the same problem....which I believe may
be caused by the way the QRP-L messages are generated, i.e., no protection of
the sender's email address.
The archive for this list, located at
http://www.mail-archive.com/qrplist%40www.zerobeat.net/
doesn't have the security problem that is generated by the list at qth.net
So, one might be well advised to use a "throw-away" address when subscribing
to any list at qth.net
Thus, like so many things that are posted as scientific truisims, established
policy, law of the land and the virtual stone tablets of Ham Radio, on QRP-L,
some folks may not know which end of the soldering iron gets hot.
I think it's humorous that that when signing up for a list at qth.net, not only
do you get solicited for funds, you can enter raffles AND have your email
address made available to scammers.
