I use a *great* spam ID program here called spambouncer. It does NOT deleted anything but in conjunction with procmail it places the emails it IDs' as spam into a special folder in my Mailbox folder. From there it is a total of 15 secs. a day I spend on spam.
Folks with windows can do a similar thing with the paid version of Eudora....it's less tekkie....you don't have to configure it at all.
My success rate is about 99.5 % on average and I NEVER loose an email due to spam-filtering.
I live in an imperfect world...but I also use the delete key.
