Hi,

My school just had their information night and the way I marketed the ICT
was:
- to display the texts that we use throughout the course,
- printed off a copy of the unit of work for perusal,
- printed information regarding the government's National Secondary School
Computer fund (since our year 9's and 10's now have laptops),
- displayed a list of the topics covered in the ICT (or senior IPT)
program and the types of assessments, as well as the number of weekly
lessons and teachers who teach the subjects.
- displayed student work on a classroom projector from my laptop of
digital movie proposals created by my 10 ICTE students for their
multimedia assessment (as a movie loop using Windows Movie Maker.)
- displayed information about year 10 ICT offered as a VET subject and
Certificate I in IT that students can obtain by completing the
competencies.
- displayed information (obtained from careers advisor) about the job
opportunities available to students leading on from their IT studies.

Hope this helps.
