You're right about that Dave. My chair goes about 8 mph, and I only
use that speed when I'm on a smooth paved surface. When I'm going
that speed the slightest bump would send me flying. I had to adjust
the breaking time so that there would be a 12 second pause in case my
hand slid off the controls. That way, the natural drag of the motors
slows down the chair much slower then the abrupt stop that the
electronics give.

Do you guys who like speed really go full speed anywhere except on a
city street? I have a TDX5 which claims 6.5 mph and wide open, my
son has to trot rather fast to keep up with me. I feel VERY
unstable anywhere except on a very flat paved surface. I also feel
rather confident that if I just dropped the joy stick while cruising
at full tilt, I'd likely be dumped out on my face. I don't hardly
ever use highest speed.

I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello?),
but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to
voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone
and run away?

Has anybody had any experience with r4000 by pride? I will require
sip &puff control system along with tilt seating. According to the
manufacturer numbers top speed is pretty decent but I'm wondering at
the cost of speed versus distance? I can cover large geographical
area let's say in six hours and I am currently using Invacare Ranger
X. gearsless brushless motors. I have had this set up for the last
two chairs and absolutely finish dealing with Invacare serious
electronic problems! So battery life, motor durability and
electronics are my most essential areas of concern within the chair
may choose early next year. Thanks from Indiana Monty 3/4 16 post injury
