Bobbie, you have a Braun VanGater ? Single post lifts allow faster access to the middle of a van as the platform fold in half. Personally, I did not like it then and I still don't like it. But that is me. Lifting someone in an electric wheelchair requires two arms. Solid platforms allow for better weight distribution for lifting. Single arm lifts apply pressure to a single, square foot of one side of the van. The leaf spring on the lift side should be supported with an additional leaf. Often, because of cost it is not done and eventually it will cause the passenger side will lean further to one side. How's your van holding up? Best Wishes In a message dated 9/23/2015 3:39:03 P.M.
