OK, let's try explaining it this way...

You put time and money into creating *something.* Car, computer, program, 
whatever. Somebody buys it. Do you *care* if they sell it to someone else 
after they're done with it? No, you've been paid for it.

You put time and money into creating something. Somebody breaks in and 
steals it, and possibly copies it and gives it to others. Do you care?

And that's as far as I'm going with it.
