Why?
I mean really, at the 68k level, whats the difference apart from less support?
I've been looking at putting a *nix on my Q650 and I decided to go with NetBSD. I can't give any great technical reason for the decision, it was more down to the fact that NetBSD is specifiically meant to be cross platform where linux isn't and therefore it appears to be more 'current' ie the Mac68k version of NetBSD is at 1.6.1 (the same as the current release for any platform) whereas Linux appears to be mostly on Kernel 2.2 with 2.4 still needing some work (and no mention of 2.6). Also, I think it's kind of fun for my ancient mac to run a 'cousin' of Darwin/OSX. :-)
One thing though, linux will have some advatages ove NetBSD (it looks like it might have better support for colour under X, but I'm not sure) and vice versa. It would really be interesting to see a comparison of the two. I'm planning on getting another drive for the 650, maybe I'll throw linux on it one day and compare them myself.
