I'm glad you have a fast connection, IE has a strange to me way of dumping a complete page onto the browser (or stalling) which may be very annoying on dialup.
I think there's a preference setting to change this behavior? Never looked.
Can't get cable-net here on Salt Spring Island and I have many friends who are just out of range of this ADSL.
I use IE 5 and 9.1 and never have a speck of trouble but I do regular TechTool Pro 3 maintenance.
Don't know what you mean by "dumping a whole page" or on which system, or which version of IE you're using.
I didn't have trouble with IE 5 on 56K dialup either and so I've stayed right here. . . I mean with V. 5 and 9.1.
I'm anxious to try the IE 4 on my 660av and LC 575 (same board as the 605)
I try to avoid M$ products but what drove me to IE was the way Navigator draws a whole page then blanks it and draws it again. Or if you resize the window it seems to download the page again.
