They are more or less the same, the 610 generally has a full 040, the early models having the LC68040, both at 25mhz.
The WGS 60 also carried the LC68040 in earlier models. CPU speed at either 20 or 25mhz. Later models carried the full 040, meaning intergrated FPU.
Apart from the markings they are the same board with a choice of cpu's.
I dont know what the WGS will class itself as.
My 9650 WGS identifies itself as a 9600, not as a 9650 WGS, but I am certain it is a WGS.
The difference between the two, 10/100 nic and a ultra scsi card. Which means its a plain 9600/350 with a couple of extras tacked on for better serving speed.
Hardly worth a new rom, I guess that would be where the mac ultimately id's itself. There is more difference between these two OT ppc's than the 610/WGS60 so I guess Russ is still looking for hands on info.
