I have just replaced the sender on my 2+2 after struggling to track one down. I eventually got hold of someone at Fords who checked up on part numbers and the mark2 and 3 Fiestas have the same number. Mark 2 parts seem difficult to get hold of but I got a mark 3 sender from a breaker, with the plug (as mine had burnt out) within thirty minutes. Ford are unable to supply the plug which was why I went to a breaker. Colour coding seems to have made no significant difference - I think it is only a few degrees anyway.
