True!  Very sensitive to position as well.  I cannot pull out the belts on mine 
if the car is at an angle on the road.  I overcame the sticking problem (very 
common apparently with the marque) by further winding up the spring on the belt 
and running the belt up the side of the tub not the end - slotted the tub so to 
do as my belt hangers are mounted on the roll bar.  It is possible to 
marginally change the operating angle of the mechanism but this is definitely 
not recommended for the faint hearted - not like the Jag XJ6 belts on my 
Beauford, which I can realign according to their installation angle.  I was 
supplied with hex headed bolts for fixing to the car.
