cheers for the reply's guys, good tip on the bonnet Jim, im paranoid about cracking the bodywork and don't want to slam it, ill dare to open it tomorrow and give it a good oil and try pushing in the centre, makes sense so that may be a job to tick off the list. I may try to come up with some better fixings to locate the edges too, sounds like a plan
