In answer to your question about the windows, the switches on mine
have 5 spade terminals on the back which go in this order:-

----  Up
----  Earth
----  Live Feed
----  Earth
----  Down

Again, on mine, the earth wires are brown & the live wires red. I was
lucky in that the guy who sold me mine included the build manual & in
it was a piece of paper with a drawing of the window switches &
markings to show which pin was which.
