> Hello John,

As Steve says the component list isn't that big or complex. The main thing
been which zetec engine your thinking of using.
The 1.8ltr silver top (metal cam cover) from an escort is the easiest as it
will drop in without many alternative parts.
The black top, either 1.8 or 2ltr, is a little more involved as the water
pump runs the 'wrong way' You also need to take an angle grinder to parts
of the sump & alternator bracket.
Both need a modified top engine mount.
I've put a 2ltr black top in my 2+2 last winter with bike carbs for
fueling. The reason for this was to avoid the complexities of wiring in
fuel injection & having to sort a swirl pot system for fueling. For info
the bike carbs are no worse than standard injection for mpg even on a 2ltr.

Keep asking questions as there are a few of us on here that have done this
conversion.
Mark
