Funny you mention radial menus a la shake and whatnot, this is exactly
what I am working on for my VJ app, but soo much to do. :) Flames
gesture support and various node based VFX workflow tools have been
partially the inspiration for some of the UI I want to make.

Who wants to file a feature request?
However, I think the answer may be just that QC is a dev app, and not
meant to be heavily used on its own.
