Hi.

Yes, I definitely have had issues getting the screen grab to work within Quartz Composer editor. It seems that, no matter what I do, I cannot get an shared OpenGL context to work. "Little birdies" have told me this is most likely due to some private OpenGL pixel format attributes that Quartz composer is using, which I do not have access to as a mere mortal. Sorry, as far as I am aware, there is nothing I can do about this.

Ive tested the plugin in other systems, VDMX, and Apples other example code for Quartz Composer (like QCTV, etc), and it works. It has issues with QCViews and Quartz Composer Editor, thats it.

Sorry, as far as I am aware, its out of my hands!

It seems interesting that the v002 patch is somehow supposed to do this inside of a qtz., but only in that DJXM or other Quartz based programs (I hope I am calling it the right name). Is this because of Apple lopping off that functionality inside of Quartz Composer?

I did realize my blunder on the java vs. javascript thing after hitting send.

If I could only patch in a live "screengrab" of specified x/y axis, width and height, into quartz composer... my socks would be rollin' up and down.

Guessing not. Screengrab is somewhat tricky, and I've not really seen any good solution to it (snapz pro seems to do well, maybe look into that for the capture portion?)

P.S.... Is it possible to use the java coding in the Processing files and load them using the Java Script patch in Quartz Composer?

While confusingly similarly named, Java and Javascript are not at all compatible or related (other than some C-like syntax similarities). Java does not work in QuartzComposer.
