That's a keynote feature request. If this is something you guys want
then file feature requests against keynote.

Isn't this what Quartz Composer Visualizer.app is for?
Also I'm not a multi-screen user but it's easy to send signals
(triggers) from one QC composition to another via OSC (across
network). Think OSC are stock patches but there is discussion on kineme.net
about using them.
Getting the OSC on a qtz inside Keynote I can't testifie to having
done // As you would know Keynote doesn't bind keystrokes and mouse
inputs, grrrr… and may block OSC try it and see... could be a work
around to the Keynote-as-QC-host ptroblems I've had com to think of
it.

or am I just a moron who can't figure it out for himself....
I use a variety of packages to make screen imagery for movies & tv
shows....director, flash, keynote(!!) FCP, af/x & the
like....anything from a web page to a email to a news program to,
well, just about anything you might see on a computer screen or a
TV...yeah, I'm the guy that allows he cops to zoom in on a license
plate from 2 blocks away with a camera in an ATM...we also did this
( & got some geek flack for it)
http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/27/screen-grabs-ugly-betty-meets-mutant-laptop/
one overriding factor in creating stuff for computer screens is that
whatever plays, must play full-full screen (no menu bar or windows
of any kind)
ergo, we use keynote (a lot) to make full-screen 'desktops' &
whatnot, showing whatever it is the actor is pretending to do....
so here's where QC comes into play & the reason for my question
after lurking for awhile....
we created a QC program to simply take a video stream from the
firewire input & make it float over a 'desktop'....basically making
a 'iChat', but without the iChat interface (see link above)...we
also use it to simulate a photographer feeding a photoshop-esque-
type screen with a live feed from a digital still camera....
this worked like a charm in Tiger, but seems to have died in Leopard
perplexing to say the least...dunno if we missed a memo or are just
missing some no hook or somesuch
any ideas from this esteemed group?
and while we're at it, what would REALLY make my entire week, wold
be if someone could explain to me why the live input gag saved a
quicktime won't work once embedded into a keynote...cuz if I could
get THAT to work it would be just, just, just....really, really cool
Thanks in advance
Mike

It's not the time it takes to take the takes,
it's the time it takes BETWEEN the takes,
that takes the time to take the takes.
