Oh, and another good tip, is to make another NetworkManager show up in a
secondary VM (other than just from sys-net), you can manually add
"network-manager" (and check it) as a service in the Qubes VM Manager
(under the services tab).  That's how you get a VPN ProxyVM configured and
running, for example:

Works great!  I was using OpenVPN from the command-line and with config
files, until I realized NetworkManager would do it all for me in a more
integrated fashion.
