That's a wonderfully simple solution that never crossed my mind.

(My VPN ProxyVM is only allowed to send packets to specific VPN servers on
the given port, using the firewall, which is a bit of a parallel to that. 
Great peace of mind for stopping leaks of unencrypted data.)
