Fellow Dell Inspiron user here, Your problems are different from mine, and I'm no expert, but maybe the simple solution that worked for me might work for you:
Mount the ANACONDA partition of the Qubes boot USB, then edit BOOTX64.cfg so that kernel parameters include 'nouveau.modeset=0' -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group.
